About Us
Starlings is a preschool providing excellent Early Years Child Care and Education for children below school age and over the age of 2 years. We have been running since 1994 and are based on the grounds of the Manor Field Infant and Junior School sites in Haydn Road, Basingstoke. Most of our staff are mothers themselves and are all qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above. We are extremely proud of our Ofsted "Good" rating and follow the EYFS framework for learning where your child will learn through play. The teaching and learning of new skills and knowledge is also delivered ITMP and through both adult and child led opportunities both indoors and outdoors. We focus on the importance of knowledge and skills that will support children in every way possible so that they can make the most of opportunities and fulfil their potential along with promoting their independence.
During their time with us we aim to enhance the development of each child within a parent-involving, community environment. We aim to provide a safe, secure, stimulating and above all fun setting to ensure that your child’s first experience of education is a positive one, resulting in a confident transition to mainstream school.
With two outside play areas giving all the children great opportunities to develop their skills they can play in the mud kitchens, with the water walls, sand pits or if they choose they can sit in the quiet area and share a book or just chat to their friends or even maybe sit at the table and develop their mark making skills.
